Thermal Engineering

We manufacture heat exchangers from stainless steel tubes for the beverage industry. These are used for heating, cooling and energy recovery of thin and highly viscous products.

Our double-tube exchangers consist of a jacket tube in which the cooling or heating medium flows and an inner tube in which the viscous medium flows. Clogging is prevented by the swirl pipes and the “large” deflection bends. The shell-and-tube heat exchangers have an outer tube and several small dimensioned inner tubes.

The size of the tubes is determined by the product, the energy source and the energy transfer task.

Advantages

  • Modular design
  • easy disassembly
  • Piggability
  • CIP-cleanable
  • no dead space
  • Expansion compensation
  • Temperature differences of over 100°C do not generate any tension.
  • sliding seat with O-ring sealing
  • tension-free assembly
  • suitable for almost all types of mash

KIESEL-tube heat exchangers have twisted tubes as an essential feature. With their spiral-shaped deformation, these tubes ensure strong turbulence of the energy carrier and the products. Thus high thermal insulation values are achieved.

We use multi-tube exchangers for liquid media. Here the exchanger surface is increased many times over by inserting several small pipes.

The thermal expansion of the materials was taken into account in the design. The outer and inner tubes are processed from chromium-nickel steel in the material qualities 1.403, 1.407, 1.4404 and 1.4435, Hastelloy and titanium.

Advantages

  • optimal heat transfer
  • absolutely blockage-free
  • Expansion compensation
  • completely made of stainless steel Wst. 1.4301, 1.4404
  • easy to clean
  • CIP-cleanable
  • clean separation of media and energy sources
  • optimal adaptation to the respective power requirement
  • max. 10 bar
